Tammuz is the son of Semiramis and Nimrod. The Tammuz ceromny is named after him.


Semiramis was Nimrod's husband thousands of years ago when he built the Tower of Babel. Also the queen of the time, she was devastated when she lost him and went to the desert for forty days and forty nights. However, right after Nimrod's death she gave birth to a child called Tammuz. During her time in the desert made her realize that Tammuz was actaully Nimrod reborn.
