King Solomon's carpet was secretly kept by the shop owner Mr. Barkhiya. Throughout his djinn life, King Solomon used this as one of his primary sources of transportation. Since Mr. Barkhuya is the descendant of a vizier of King Solomon, he has kept it, waiting to sell it to a worthy djinn. (Since humans are unable to use it) When Nimrod came looking for a carpet, Mr. Barkhiya agreed to sell it to him in return for three wishes. Afterwards, Nimrod had to cut a piece of the carpet off, to give to Groanin. He directed this part of the carpet to go find his nephew, John.
