Homeostasis is a term that the djinn use to refer to the balance of luck in the world. Homeostsasis in particular refers to the period where neither side has an advantage but it is equal. It is in between good and bad on all tuchemeters.
Throughout the series, one of the main goals of the good djinn is to maintain homeostasis while the bad ones attempt to corrupt it.
