The Dakota Building is an apartment complex located on 72nd street home to both Mrs. Trump and Frank Vodyannoy. It was famous for being the home of John Lennon and was the alleged place where he was murdered, which brought it international fame. The building itself is quite large for an apartment and is well located near New York's Central Park. John and Philippa sneak into the Dakota building where John plays the music of John Lennon on the piano to scare away Miss Pickings. (Not to mention an appropriate place for homage) It is here that John first meets Mr. Vodyannoy after being stunned by a Qaesitor Binding. Afterwards, they become close friends and Mr. Vodyannoy invites John into his own home in the Dakota Building.
