The British Museum

The British Museum is a museum located in London, England and is widely considered to be one of the the world's greatest museums of human history and culture. Its permanent collection, numbering some eight million works, is amongst the finest, most comprehensive, and largest in existence and originate from all continents, illustrating and documenting the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present.

Groanin used to work for the British Museum as a librarian in the Reading room. However, one day Thug Vickery brought in tigers that killed almost all the librarians who were working there. Groanin lost his arm this way.

Nimrod and the twins visit the museum in order to try and find the seventy lost djinn by looking in the hollow portion of sekhem scepters. However, it is here that they meet Akhenaten himself, who traps Nimrod, attacking him with Babi and tries to get his gemetrian name. Meanwhile, John and Philippa free the lost djinn who trap both Nimrod and Akenaten in one of the canopic jars. Faced with a dilemma, John and Philippa hide in the Portland Vase by transubstantiating while the police arrive. The 70 lost Egyptian djinn stay in the Egyptian gallery in room 65, where they await their captures. After they come out, they see Fredrick Finger, whom was drawing the ancient Portland Vase. The next day it was reported by the Daily Telegraph to be a break-in and that it may have resulted in Egyptian protests over the display of buried mummies.
